Back to Work Mug Rug
It happened suddenly and out of the blue. I received a phone call from my former employer asking if I'd be interested in coming back to work. I stammered for a few seconds as I tried to get my thoughts together. Work? Hmmm....nah...well....maybe...I told the HR rep. I'd have to think about it and get back to her in a couple days. I seriously hadn't thought about going back to work right this second. Maybe in a few months, but not now. Not right before Christmas. I mean, that's a busy time a year for crafty people. After I pondered and said, Yes!...here's what sprung to my mind (and yes, in this order):
- What am I going to wear?
- What's going to happen to my blog?
- When am I going to find time to quilt and make my travel bags for QuiltCon?
- I need a mug rug for my office!
It's been a rough few days shopping for "work clothes". I inventoried my closet, which only reinforced the idea that I, indeed, have nothing to wear. I can't seem to find the right white shirt to save my life. Don't these manufacturers and buyers watch "What Not To Wear" or follow Tim Gunn's fashion advice?
I told my sister that I might have to make my own.
She was appalled.
I put a single print on the back of my mug rug. Like my quilts, sometimes I just want to look at one all-over print. I love these pens, too by the way. I need to get some before Monday.
I already bought some hand-sanitizer for my desk too. Which, you know, just makes good sense.
