Creative Rejuvenation: QuiltCon 2015
QuiltCon 2015 has come to an end and while most of the attendees are safely back home, a few of us have had to stay another day in Austin because of bad weather. That's okay though, because I'm really not ready to get back to real life.I have pages of notes and inspiration. There's always something to learn, even when your style is very different from that of Luke Haynes and Victoria Findlay Wolfe.
It's always an honor to have a quilt in the show and this year we got a nifty button.
There is always so much to see and do. Besides the classes and lectures you've signed up for, there are also demos on the show floor and vendors lining the perimeter of the hall and rows and rows of them along the far end. Even tattoo artists this year!
I received many positive comments on my t-shirt design and was told the shirts sold out quickly. I was happy to stop and pose with a shirt for some Modern Quilt Guild social media exposure.
Frustrated Quilter and Rene Creates wearing their shirts. It's so fun to meet the creative women behind the blogs you follow.
And it's always a great time just hanging out with the other women in my guild.
Well done, QuiltCon organizers! I'm ready to get home and get started on my next project.
